Appearance
The Flying Spur V8 is a Bentley through and through, but above all, its looks. Big and unapologetically imposing, the new Spur has a 125.7-inch wheelbase, which is five times larger than the old Spur. The space between the A-pillar and the front wheel is infused with most of this additional space. These new proportions make the car convincingly more Bentley-esque.

Movement
The predecessors of this new model are torque split 50/50 from front to rear. But unlike them, this V8 car is effectively rear-wheel drive until wheel slippage is detected. Built from the same platform as the Panamera of Porsche, this 5000-pound road pig feels surprisingly sporty. Despite its sheer size and heavy accessories, this Spur is definitely more agile with all-wheel steering. And that’s not all! With disciplined body movements, this car’s movements on the road are more balanced and serious, making it the perfect Bentley.
The interior of the Flying Spur V8 is also easy to get used to. The brand has done a great job incorporating VW Group technology and switchgear into the interior. This offers roughly the same ambiance as the cigar room of a private club! In the sunlight, the dark gray diamond-stitched leather reveals a subtle shade of green that completely complements the Barnato green exterior of this car. Immaculate English and unrepentant Bentley!
